| Description: |
Citizens Budget Commission: ten years after the establishment in New York City of the office of deputy mayor, a group of civic organizations undertook to sponsor a scholarly study of this office in its first decade. Participating organizations included the Citizens Budget Commission, the Citizens Union, the New York Chamber of Commerce, the Women's City Club, and the Commerce and Industry Association. Transcripts of these interviews became a basis for the report, New York City's Deputy Mayor, City Administrators -- Accomplishments, Problems and Potentialities by Professor Demetrios Caraley. |
