| Description: |
Although TB dates back seven millennia, only in the past 150 years have scientists begun to understand something about the causative pathogen, Mycobacterium tuberculosis. And only in the past 75 years has there been any real progress in treating and preventing the disease. The Sequella Foundation’s Oral History Project gives early twentieth-century pioneers in TB research a forum to reach today’s young scientists. In 2000, the first scientists were interviewed on videotape. |
