This collection is comprised of 65 audiocassettes containing interviews of 59 people from the Kansas City area’s Hispanic community conducted between 1977 and 1982. The interviewer is Irene Ruiz, former West Branch Librarian. Subjects interviewed cover a substantial cross-section of the population, ranging from state legislators to persons who were unemployed at the time of the interview. Six of the interviews are in Spanish.
