These interviews were conducted between 1995 and 1997 as research for Michael Makowsky's doctoral dissertation. Makowsky interviewed labor leaders and members of the Florida Education Association, the National Education Association, and the American Federation of Teachers regarding the threatened and actual teachers' strike that occurred in Florida in the late 1960's.
