| Description: |
Forty-six oral history cassette tapes and miscellaneous items donated by the interviewees including photos, slides and a narrative report from the camp director of the Granada Relocation Camp in Amanche, Colorado, a Japanese-American internment camp during W.W. II., aid in documenting the lives and experiences of individuals in different ethnic communities in the North Bay. These interviews contain unique and valuable information about the North Bay's history that exists only in memories and otherwise would be lost. Most of these interviews took place in the mid to late 1970's. The majority of tapes are not transcribed. |
