As a Bicentennial project, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Communications Branch, commissioned the services of Dr. Alan Brookes of the history department of the University of Guelph. The interviews were conducted in 1984 by five university students with senior citizen farmers and rural residents, who gave their recollections of all aspects of rural experiences.
