Description: D. has seen most of the 20th century. She served many positions varying from defense plant worker to retail manager. She explains how WWII greatly shaped her work experience, it gave her opportunities that she wouldn’t have had. She lived in a time when women often assumed the role as housewives, happily so, because of the feelings and the stereotypes of their generation. She tell why she made the choices she did and advises the youth of today with her knowledge and her regrets. In all D’s story is one of American pride and days of hard work.
