Gustave Hauser began his cable career as chairman and CEO of Warner Cable Communications. (The company became Warner-Amex Cable Communications in 1980.) He helped build the company into one of the largest cable companies and while there he helped develop on of the first interactive cable television services, QUBE. He is also responsible for other innovations such as pay-per-view, Nickelodeon (the children's channel), MTV Music Television and The Movie Channel. In 1983, Hauser founded Hauser Communications, Inc. which today is a private investment and operating company in cable television and international satellite and other electronic communications.
