Interview conducted on July 7, 1993 with Ken Fairly, a Mississippi law enforcement officer and journalist. Fairly was born on February 18, 1928 in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Now retired, he had two careers: one as a journalist and the other as a law enforcement officer at the local, state, and national levels. Fairly investigated Ku Klux Klan activities for the Saturday Evening Post and was present at part of the University of Mississippi riots as a police officer.
