Description: Anka Cavrak was born and raised in a mining community in Northern Ontario, Canada. Her parents came from villages near Karlovac, Croatia. She describes growing up in an ethnically diverse community and moving to San Francisco as an adult where she reconnected with the Croatian American community through involvement in the SMBS.
