(USA) Charles T. "Ty" Dodge, originally from Temple, Texas, served in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1971. Ty went to South Vietnam in June 1969 as a member of I Troop, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. In country, he commanded 3d Platoon as a 1st Lieutenant in III Corps around the Parrot's Beak and Fishhook areas. Ty left the RVN after he was wounded in a firefight at Fire Base Buttons in November 1969. OH0315 - part of the Charles Dodge Collection
