(USAF) Robert H. Fischer, originally from Abington, Pennsylvania, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 until 1969. Between 1962 and 1965, based out of Tachikawa, Japan, he flew cargo missions in the C-124 around Southeast Asia, including missions into the Republic of South Vietnam. From 1965 until 1967, he flew C-141s out of Dover AFB all over the world, including stops in South Vietnam. Bob went to Vietnam in July 1967 as part of the 12th Air Commando Squadron stationed at Bien Hoa as a RANCH HAND Pilot and Chief Pilot. During his year in country, he flew 400 spray and cargo missions. Bob is a 1960 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and serevd in the Air Force Reserve from 1969 until 1990.
