(USMC) John M. Hargesheimer, originally from Jeffersonville, Indiana, served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966 until 1968. John went to South Vietnam in November 1967 and was assigned to the 3rd Anti-Tank Battalion, Ontos Co., stationed at Phu Bai. He was at Khe Sanh from January until April 1968 with A Company, 3rd Anti-Tank Battalion, as an armorer. From April until December 1968, John was stationed out of Quang Tri from where he went out around I Corps to repair weapons as an armorer. OH0293 - part of the John Hargesheimer Collection
