(USAF) David M. Harp, originally from Ashburn, Georgia, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1971. He flew C-46s out of Japan during the Korean War and, in 1959, flew 145 combat spy missions over Korea as an Intelligence Operations Officer. In 1961, David took part in Project Hilo-Hattie, flying 76 secret intelligence-gathering missions over Southeast Asia. In 1968, he was sent to South Vietnam to take part in Operation Ranch Hand, where he flew 59 missions out of Bien Hoa in C-123s. After his tour ended in 1969, David was sent to Langley AFB, Virginia, where he retired from the USAF in 1971. OH0236 - part of the David Harp Collection
