(USAF) Jack L. Keith, originally from Muskegon, Michigan, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 until 1973. As a fighter pilot, he was stationed at many different bases around the United States and overseas during his career, including time at Kessler Field, Maxwell Field/AFB, Andrews Field, Homestead AFB, Langley AFB, Naha AB, Okinawa, Kimpo and Suwon ABs, Republic of Korea, Erding AS, Munich, Germany, Toul Rosiers AB, France, RAF Wethersfield, United Kingdom, and Bien Hoa AB, South Vietnam. Jack served in the Korean War from June 1950 until June 1951 as a Liaison Officer. He went to Vietnam in May 1967 as the 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing Assistant Deputy Commander for Operations. Jack then took over as Commander of the 531st Tactical Fighter Squadron at Bien Hoa. He flew F-100Ds and successfully completed 156 combat missions during his tour in Vietnam. Jack left Vietnam in May 1968 and was stationed at Maxwell AFB and completed a year at the Air War College. He completed his thirty-year career at Langley AFB at Tactical Air Command Headquarters where he retired in January 1973.
