(USAF) Jon McMurtry graduated from Oklahoma State University and received his AFROTC commission in 1959. After completion of his flight training, McMurtry served as an Instructor Pilot until 1964 and served in France and Europe until 1967. He then returned to the United States and attended training at Hurlburt Field before leaving for Vietnam. McMurtry served with 23rd TASS out of NKP, Thailand, and as an instructor pilot with Detachment 1, 504 TASGP in Pham Rang (aka FAC U). The interview is being transcribed and is an ongoing interview.
