Description: (USA) Sergeant Paul discusses his earlier life experiences before he joined the Army in 1967. He served in Vietnam from January 1968 to April 1970. He comments on his feelings towards the people in the anti-war movement, including Bobby Seale and Jane Fonda, before turning to the induction process and basic training. Sergeant Paul recounts his experiences with the 173rd Airborne Brigade stationed at An Khe and his treatment as a "new guy" in Vietnam, race relations, fragging and his first fire fight. Sergeant Paul also discusses his time in the Special Forces, the Cambodian incursion, the treatment of POWs and how he got wounded.
