Dr. Robert Wilkes served in the Air Commando Wing, Special Air Warfare and arrived in Vietnam on Christmas Day, 1967. He was stationed in Saigon where served as an Executive Officer of the 1st Air Commando Wing. After two months he was transferred to the base command post on Ton Son Nhut Air Base. Wilkes discusses government policies in Vietnam, his contact with the Vietnamese and his feelings toward the war.
