Gladys LeFevre was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1947. Her mom, Dorothy Lyman, was a city girl from Salt Lake, and married Ivan Lyman of Boulder. Gladys grew up in Boulder and recalls hard living, little transportation and isolation. She married Dell LeFevre and remembers life as a nomad due to his job drilling rigs. She and Dell settled in Boulder and adopted fourteen children from all over the world.
