Idona Haws was born in Escalante, Utah and moved to Boulder, Utah when she was very young. Her father worked for the Haws on their farm and the family had a small farm of their own in Boulder. She married Otto Haws and lived with him on Boulder Creek. Their marriage was sealed in the LDS temple.
