Description: Jerry Roundy - 1 interview, 1998 (2 audio cassettes; 1 video cassette) Jerry Roundy was born in Escalante, Utah in 1931. His father ran livestock and was a forest ranger in the early 1900's. Jerry grew up in Escalante and then joined the Navy for four years. He is a PhD graduate from BYU and taught seminary in Aston, Idaho. He was the head of the religion department at BYU Hawaii (Church College) and also taught at Rick's College in Rexburg and in Israel at the Jerusalem Center. He now lives in Escalante with his wife Sheree. He has recently written a history book on Escalante called, They Advised to Call the Place Escalante and has been called by the Mormon Church to teach in Nauvoo.
