Ms. Frances Burney was born May 29, 1913, in Vancleave, Mississippi. When she was eighteen, she married and moved to Biloxi, Mississippi. Until 1951, she stayed home rearing her four children; at that time, her husband became ill, and she took a job outside her home at the age of thirty-eight in order to support her family.
