Reverend Arthur Lewis, Jr., was born on October 29, 1948, in Forest Home, Alabama, the son of Lillie Mae Boggan and Arthur Lewis Sr. He grew up in Pensacola, Florida, where he was graduated from high school in 1967. From Jackson State University, he earned a B.S.W. degree, and from Emory University Chandler School of Theology, he received a Master's degree in Theology.
