Description: Mr. Harry A. Martin was born in Clarke County, Mississippi, on July 20, 1925, one of eight children. His family farmed their own land, and his mother was a schoolteacher. He and his seven siblings attended local schools, and all eight of them were graduated from high school. Mr. Martin became active in Four-H Club and in Future Farmers of America during his elementary and high school years.
