Born on October 20, 1939, in Sandy Ridge, Lowndes County, Alabama, Mr. Loyce Searight moved with his family to Biloxi, Mississippi, in March of 1947. Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic School was the first school he attended, through seventh grade, when he transferred to Marshall Franklin Nichols High School in 1957.
