Mr. Edward Sternberg was born on October 22, 1901, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was educated in private schools and graduated from Grady School, Louisville, in June 1915. He worked in a variety of jobs as a boy and began his first full-time position with Louisville Gas and Electric Company in 1916. In 1917 he accepted a position with the Louisville-Nashville Railroad as a file clerk. While working there Mr. Sternberg attended Jefferson School of Law at night, graduating in 1924.
