Born on January 27, 1966, in Natchez, Mississippi, to Elisha and Vera Wilkins, Ms. Juanita Wilkins was the eleventh of twelve children. She was graduated from high school in Natchez, and left two weeks later, moving to Dallas, Texas, where one of her sisters lived. From 1986 to 1992, she lived in Dallas, working in a restaurant and later in a government warehouse.
