Ray was a Vietnamese Marine advisor from 21 March 1967 to 21 March 1968. Previous combat experience: 30 days in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 28 April 1965 until the end of May 1965 defending the United States Embassy, protecting American lives and property and in helping to quell any further loss of life from serious civil unrest. This interview covers his experiences during the Vietnam War.
