| Description: |
Melville and Fred were born on the 600 acre San Geronimo ranch their grandfather purchased in 1856. At the time of the interview, five generations of Dicksons had lived on the ranch. The brothers describe ranch life, changes in ranching, and struggles over the lean years. They discourse at some length on the Robert Dollar family; their mother was Grace Dollar, the only daughter of Robert Dollar.
