| Description: |
James Leach has lived in San Anselmo since 1906. The founder of the Leach Realty Company and builder of 300 homes in Marin in 50 years, James retired from his business in 1958. Born in Liverpool, England, James has given much to the Marin community. He cast one of the “ayes” votes in the 1907 election in which San Anselmo residents voted to incorporate their community. (The vote was 83 “yes” and 79 “no”) A warm and kindly man, James recalls Marin from 1906 to 1978.
