Brigid was born in the early 1900s in Glenaan, both of her parents came from the Middle Glens.
Glenaan is one of the lesser-known of the nine glens yet its winding road leads to spectacular views of Orra Mountain and stretches of rough, unspoilt countryside.
The local school is tucked in at the side of the road near the bottom of the glen.
