Description: George Magruder sold salt water taffy on the Pike in Long Beach. He started out helping his parents in their store and ended up running it until the Pike closed in 1979. He grew up and went to school in Long Beach. He was a student at Long Beach Junior College at the time of the 1933 earthquake. He has many jobs while he was growing up.
