Arch Wallen was on the management team of Douglas (in Santa Monica) and was intimately involved with the planning of the new Douglas, Long Beach plant. He was interviewed as part of the Rosie the Riveter project for his expertise on aircraft production and to provide background on the establishment of the Long Beach plant. He was eager to assist the project and helped the staff to understand some of the technical aspects of aircraft production.
